Energetic, enthusiastic and super fanatic

My path

Upon arrival, I always start with a tour of the department and greet all my colleagues. By then I’ve also managed to take care of most of my e-mails. I briefly discuss today's planning and the details with the service coordinators. Then I dive into the numbers to see if anything needs my attention. After any necessary phone calls, I often reach out to my colleague Gerard (account manager) about planned visits in the region. I again answer any new e-mail messages in the afternoon and then get in the car well prepared to go to several customers. It's always cool to visit a company and see what makes them special. What are they good at and where we can help them are questions I like to ask.

As a branch manager, you are faced with new challenges every day. The diversity and the possibility to realize a good & quick solution for the customer gives me a lot of energy and appreciation for what we enjoy doing every day. It is the people who do it, and from my role I ensure that they are able to do what they are good at.

For example:

• We invest a lot of energy into the long-term relationship with the customer. Wanting to go the extra mile builds towards a good relationship
• The BAS is characterized by many energetic and fanatical employees, which you notice on the work floor and with customers. This is often contagious
• Providing good advice on the technical condition of the vehicle enables us to unburden the customer so that he can focus more on his core business
• Interest and attention for the well-being of the employees. With BAS Fit we organize many activities and pay attention to nutrition and health.

This motivates me

My profile is very similar to that of the BAS. I am also quite the fanatic. I notice this in the teams and our approach. We don’t have endless discussions but hit the gas pedal full throttle and finish what we’re doing. Everyone helps each other, a question does not go unanswered. That is the strength and resilience of BAS. We think in solutions and not in problems. Furthermore, I get energy from leading such a top team!

Proud of..

I am very proud of my team’s performance and LEAN approach in our workshops. By starting the process correctly, guiding it correctly and planning it correctly, we all succeed in improving the workplaces and speeding up processes. If the team runs well, this will impact our customers and employees. If we succeed together, then that really drives me.

Personally, I am also very proud of the performance we achieved with BAS Fit during Alpe d'Huzes 2019. With 7 colleagues, we raised a total of € 35,000 for KWF and with the BAS goes HuZes team we accomplished a huge team effort considering the number of climbs we completed. This drive is characteristic of BAS and makes me feel proud to be part of this company and to be able to contribute.
